Invitation begins the journey of Ryan Brennan. He learns that the leader of the world Terrapenya wishes to gain access to Earth and add it to his growing empire. He will stop at nothing to win; including sending his Chosen to murder Earth’s before the tournament begins. If he is successful, and gains access to Earth, everything will be destroyed.
Ryan, Tim, James, and Thomas become the hosts to Sentinels, beings they are mystically linked to. As the boys’ training increases, their Sentinels become better equipped to protect the Chosen. They must find the balance of keeping their new purposes hidden from those they love while attempting to maintain their own hectic lives as teenagers and an increasingly intense training regimen.
The Chosen are the best fighters in the world, selected to compete in Jrulasii Fectoviar. Experience the lives of three of Earth’s Chosen as they learn of the tournament and the dangers they are in.

Transformations

Transformations picks up where Invitation left off.

A stranger from Kemuri’s past joins him and the others in assisting the Sentinels.
The struggles of living such lives weigh heavily on the boys. Things begin to change in ways they don’t expect. And the cost of those changes may prove too great to overcome.

About the author
Hello. My name is Rob. I’m the author of the Edge of Fate series.
I am a very private person and tend to keep to myself and avoid the spotlight, which hopefully explains my lack of photogenicity.
I was born, raised, and currently reside in Western New York with my wife and two daughters.
I have an incredible mother who gave me a great childhood and allowed my imagination to grow.
Unfortunately, I was never very good with people. Animals always seemed to understand me much more than people. Which is why I’ve always had more pets than friends.
Like my longest companion here.
Growing up a socially awkward only child made it very hard to make friends. When times were quiet and lonely, I found solace in my thoughts, daydreams, and imagination. My story became my escape. I am hoping it can be the same for others.
They say you reveal yourself in your writing. If that’s true, I look forward to you getting to know me.

Review:
Transformations by Robert J Donovan is book 2 in the Edge of Fate series. This is a Sci-fi /fantasy. The book is a continuation of book 1, Invitation and is best read that way. Follow the lives of four teenage boys who have the task of trying so save the world as well as the characters that guide and train them. The author is extremely talented in character development which makes the reader feel like they have gained friends along the way. I absolutely loved this book it kept me engrossed, enthralled captivated (which ever adjective you want to use) right until the end. The author had my heart pounding with all the twists and turns and had me smiling and laughing at some of the antics that went on, as well as crying alongside the characters. The book rings out every last bit of emotion and has you begging for more. This is a definite must read. I can’t wait for the next book to learn what happens next.
